Programs
Providing catalysts for growth
Our team provides the resources and access needed for early-stage companies to scale and succeed. We develop and deliver a range of programming that connects companies with the resources they need. We accomplish this in part by leveraging the expertise of GMRI’s team of scientists, economists, supply chain experts, data analysts and other experts — as well as the collective reach of our partners.

Blue w(AI)ve Accelerator
A partnership with the Roux Institute to drive blue technology innovation. The Blue w(AI)ve program is the first-of-its-kind 16-week accelerator based out of Portland, Maine. We focus on early-stage companies leveraging artificial intelligence in ocean-based solutions.
Applications for the inaugural Blue w(AI)ve cohort are open until November 13.

BlueTech Boost
The BlueTech Boost is a 10-week incubator program designed to help founders overcome hurdles and reach specific milestones. We provide direct mentor support, connect founders to Gulf of Maine Research Institute’s subject-matter expertise, and supplement with micro-grant funding to help move founders along the pathway towards growth.
Applications are now closed for the Fall 2023 cohort.
